I like that this tracker can monitor his activity, eating, drinking, sleeping, etc. What I don't like is the constant dropping connections, and how slow it is to update his activity. I thankfully have not had to use this tracker to find my dog. I am not confident that it will bring you to your dog quickly or accurately. Sometimes when I have my dog with me in a vehicle, it shows him at a local stoplight that we stopped at when we are actually on a highway three miles away.
We've had 3 of these (Go Explore) and now down to 1. Our pet likes to run through weeds and underbrush and has lost his collar a few times. And usually we find it with a little bit of searching. But it would make things WAY better if there was some sort of sound that would come from the collar (like Jiobit) to let you know that you are close to it's lost location. Long time user of 2+ years, now I don't recommend. If you want to simply let your pet outside and start tracking, you can't do it. I don't care or want a "safe zone" or "battery saver", I want simple tracking -whistle (the company) could make safe zone and battery saver optional, but I assume they don't, because their data (cell/GPS) costs would go up. Each successive software rev. makes tracking more unwieldy/unreliable and much, much less user friendly. I have talked to customer service.
Yesterday I was on a walk with my dog and the app notified me he was home half a mile away from home. I have a really good router, and this means in my rural area with coyotes within a half a mile my house dog will be out of luck. The collar should use wifi signal strength as part of the safe place to keep up with improving wifi strength.
Solid but doesn't track activity well within WiFi range... even when outside of geo-fence.
the statistics derived activity data is very interesting to look back on, however would even be better if i could play with it a bit more => via a csv file download option, which I have not yet found.
works for cats and dogs. Has some good features, but still lacking. I haven't found a better one, yet, so I am keeping them. (I own 4 units and I use them on 2 cats and 2 dogs) but as soon as there is a better option I will quickly be gone. Customer service is lacking. Functionality is ok, but some really important items like choosing when I can track regardless of whether they are in our home area is a huge flaw and has caused quite a bit of stress.

The app gets stuck on old locations and rarely updates location or activity. Save your money and choose another solution.
